Edie Rae Baumgart is one of twelve children haling from Spread Eagle,
Wisconsin. After performing around ‘Sconnie for a while, she fell in love with the Twin Cities music scene, relocated and never looked back. Over the years, she has sung in cover bands performing everything from bluegrass.
Edie's musical journey evolved into songwriting and she performs her original tunes regularly with the EdieRaeBand - comprised of stellar Twin Cities musicians - Craig Teiken - Rob Genadek and Jackie Crosby
Edie also formed The de'Lindas - and 8 piece band of 7 women and a dude - a tribute to Linda Ronstadt.
She composed songs for an original play “Girl Group” in 2013and brought songs to Cuba to record in 2015. Her songs are direct, melodic and make you want to sing along. Recently dubbed "The Hennepin County Harmonist", she can be heard live and on record with her band as well as Lolos Ghost, Dave Rave and The Governors, Sons of Gloria and Earthquakes and Heartaches and The April Fools, just to name a few.
Dubbed “Mighty Mouse” by the late, great Captain Jack McDuff, Edie brings powerful vocal prowess and emotional movement to her performances and recordings.
In addition to performing and songwriting, Edie is President of RaeBeat Records - a Minneapolis based record label that supports not only our artist roster, but all original Minnesota made music.
